Infringement Case

HILL, N.C., October 30,2001
– 3rdTech announced today that lawyers for Quantapoint filed a request
for voluntary dismissal of their patent infringement lawsuit against 3rdTech,
Inc. 3rdTech had previously sent a letter denying any infringement and
demonstrating that the Quantapoint patent clearly did not apply to 3rdTech's
DeltaSphere products.
